I am the descendants of immigrants, as are the vast majority of US citizens in our district. It is shameful that we consider it too much to extend to others the same opportunity our forbearers had.

We need to be increasing the number of immigration judges to aliviate the backlog of the imigration docket

We need to extend the 6th amendment right to legal council to include those who attempt to immigrate via legal channels. This includes asylum seekers.

Those in government who attempt to break international law with regards to asylum seekers should be impeached.

We are a nation of immigrants and a melting pot of cultures. It’s time we remember that and start being proud of it again as a nation.
